The new Aragonese Languages Act, presented by the PP-PAR coalition in May 2013, means that Aragonese and Catalan<span class=\"text_exposed_show\"> are no longer recognised as \u201clanguages spoken in the region of Aragon\u201d relegating them to mere &#8220;linguistic modalities&#8221;, with severe legal and linguistic implications. The law no longer guarantees the teaching, promotion, and protection of these languages thereby violating the rights of a large part of the population, and seriously putting the Aragonese language, recognised as endangered by UNESCO, under serious threat.<\/span><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Eurolang.
